Coast Guard identifies 6 aboard missing Bermuda-to-Boston plane; debris found
Description: The U.S. Coast Guard has identified the six people aboard a medical transport plane that disappeared off Nantucket while flying from Bermuda to Boston.
The passengers included four Canadians — Philip Gregory Childerhose, Thomas Henry Farquhar, Sarah Jane Paton and Jolene Beth Weir — and two Bermudian nationals, Marilyn Lavonne Bean and Sergio Wayne Lottimore.
The Gulfstream G100 lost contact with air traffic controllers early Saturday after the pilot reportedly reported electrical problems and encountered difficulty communicating with controllers.
Search crews located a debris field associated with the aircraft off Nantucket but found no survivors after searching more than 4,400 miles over approximately 66 hours, WJAR 10 has reported.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will lead the investigation, with U.S. authorities assisting in efforts to determine what caused the crash.
