I’ve been using the new Sonos Ace Ultra for two weeks, and the improvement from the original Sonos Ace is seriously impressive.
In this review, I break down everything that’s new, including the redesigned 40mm drivers, stronger Adaptive ANC, improved battery life, additional microphones, new EQ controls, and WiFi Headphone Linking through the Sonos ecosystem.
I’ve tested these headphones while working, editing, traveling, taking calls, watching movies, and listening to music around the house. The improved bass, clearer detail, stronger noise cancellation, and overall comfort have made the Ace Ultra one of my favorite pairs of over ear headphones.
We also take a closer look at the beautiful Agave color, TV Audio Swap, TrueCinema, Dolby Atmos, dynamic head tracking, Aware mode, lossless audio, and the new replaceable battery.
✨ Sonos Ace Ultra Highlights:
🔊 New Sonos designed 40mm drivers
🔇 Up to 2x stronger ANC than the original Sonos Ace
🎙️ Ten microphones instead of eight
🔋 Up to 35 hours of battery life with ANC enabled
⚡ Three hours of playback from a three minute charge
🎚️ New 3 band and 8 band EQ controls
📶 WiFi Headphone Linking with compatible Sonos products
📺 TV Audio Swap, TrueCinema, and Dolby Atmos
♻️ Replaceable battery and ear cushions
🌿 Available in Black, Soft White, Sand, and Agave
💰 Priced at $449, which is $100 less than AirPods Max 2
Are the Sonos Ace Ultra the best premium headphones for someone already invested in the Sonos ecosystem? And would you choose these over AirPods Max 2?
