Thanks to Lauren for sharing her story and pushing to get this figured out for all the families this is affecting
Also, a massive thank you to the following people
Jaewon Jung:
A huge thank you to 2x Emmy Award winning journalist and KPRC 2 reporter Jaewon Jung, who broke this story wide open after obtaining data directly from the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office. Her investigative reporting brought national attention to the Houston bayou deaths and she was kind enough to sit down with us and share everything she found. Check out her full documentary Bodies in the Bayou here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUeYd0qllHU
Dr. Beth Gilmore:
Thank you to Dr. Beth Gilmore, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Houston-Downtown, whose background in criminal investigations, victimology, homicide, and death investigation helped us better understand what the evidence can and can’t tell us. Learn more about her work here: https://www.uhd.edu/faculty/gilmoree.aspx
