Description: Ms. Florence Devanesan explores stereotypes and cultural stigma associated with pursuing what one truly loves. The talk takes us through her personal journey of breaking societal barriers and becoming an educator in a world where money, fame, position and wealth are often seen as benchmarks for success. It highlights how passion and purpose can help one overcome societal pressure and pursue what they are truly destined for, while achieving better outcomes and results along the way. Ms. Florence Devanesan is a Computer Science Engineer with professional experience in the software industry. She holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and serves as a Mathematics Teacher and Academic Coordinator for the Primary division. Passionate about children and their holistic development, she helps young learners build strong foundations in numeracy and logical thinking and uses effective teaching strategies to support children in their learning. She has also served as a Sunday School Teacher, VBS Director and Youth Counsellor.
