How To Deactivate Instagram Account (New 2026 Update)
Description: Here's how to deactivate your Instagram account temporarily with the new 2026 layout, without deleting it.
Instagram keeps moving this setting and not every account sees the same menus, so this shows a foolproof way to find it by searching your settings.
Temporary deactivation hides your profile, photos and comments until you come back, and simply logging back in reactivates everything as if you never left.
Shown on iPhone, and it works the same in the Instagram app on Android and on a computer.
