Its been officially a year since I came back from England! It's been a year of travels, experiences, drama, heartbreak, but most importantly healing. I began to make this video a couple weeks ago, when it was one of those days you just have an existential life breakdown and so I told myself that instead of wallowing in self-pity, to look back at all the good things that had happened to me this past year. I've had this song in replay and if yall don't know it's from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which is all about trying to get rid of those bad memories and then trying to run away and trying to save them. And that be me xD. I wanted so badly to erase all the bad stuff that I was not taking into consideration the small moments that may leave with them as well. So most if not all of this footage are things that never made it to other vlogs and I had forgotten about.
I took a twist to one of my favorite Odesza Songs, Memories you can recall, and slapped it on here because these are memories I had forgotten about in my travels that made a difference. For the past months I kept telling people I had a better experience in Japan than in England, but I think after making this, I've come to realize that it might have been the other way around. I experienced so much in so little time there, how could I have been depreciating it?
I'm very thankful of my opportunities and trust me, I do not regret it. It has been a privilege being abroad that not all have the opportunity to do. I'm thankful to all the people that were there for me in my times of struggle and those who made my travels fun and exciting as well as all the people I met. It's been a great year overall. 💖
FunFact: This video starts off with one of my close college friends in which we made a video intro for "our youtube channel" that we never made. She's back soon from Korea so hopefully one day we'll get to it xD
