Israeli Police Use Batons Against Ultra Orthodox Protesters In Draft Dispute | Firstpost News

Description: Israeli police struck ultra-Orthodox Jewish protesters with batons and dragged others off the road near Jerusalem's Chords Bridge on Thursday, as officers moved to break up a major traffic blockade sparked by the arrest of a yeshiva student over military conscription.

Footage shows officers forcibly removing demonstrators sitting in front of vehicles, with some protesters being hit with batons as police attempt to reopen the road. Traffic grinds to a halt, while other protesters circle the three-way junction chanting religious slogans and blocking vehicles from passing.
