‘Such A DEPRESSING Spectacle!’ | Former Friend Questions Harry’s Account Of His Youth
Description: Charlotte Griffiths joins Kevin O’Sullivan to discuss Prince Harry’s MasterClass video about grief, and contrasts his account with her memories of knowing him socially.
The Mail on Sunday editor-at-large recalls Harry laughing with friends, enjoying parties and taking trips to Las Vegas. She questions whether he is reframing parts of his younger life entirely through the trauma of losing his mother.
“He was fun and he was experiencing joy from where I was standing.”
Charlotte acknowledges that Harry could have been struggling privately while also enjoying himself, and says everyone has the right to discuss grief. She also speculates about Meghan’s influence on his language and the production.
