Utumishi Academy Fire Tragedy Prayer Song - Stella Mengele

Description: Dear God, we come with broken hearts tonight,
Wazazi wa Utumishi Girls School wanaumiaaa,
Ee Mungu tunashindwa Tuombe vipi
Wanafunzi wa Utumish Academy wanaumiaa
they’re crying in the dark, broken to the core
16 daughters gone, others still can’t be found
Machozi ni Mechungu haaayaaa

(chorus)

Hata kama Twauliza Mbona
Wakuponya mioyo kando yako hakunaaa
Eeh Mungu Babaaa
Mbona uruhusu hili
Baba tuliza mioyo ya wazazi wanaoliaaaa
Dear lord we pray pray pray
For comfort we pray pray pray
Heal them we pray pray pray
Show them the way to healing
Dear lord we pray pray pray
For comfort we pray pray pray
Heal them we pray pray pray
Show them the way to healing

(Instrumental Interlude)

For the mothers waiting,
not knowing where their children are
For the fathers searching,
Lord, You know how to calm their pain
For the girls still missing,
those injured and afraid we pray
Wrap them in Your presence,
Lord let Your peace be manifested Close description
