Raging Floodwaters Destroy Up to 40 Homes in Nepal’s Gorkha District

Description: Flash floods in Nepal’s Gorkha district swept away several houses along the Budhi Gandaki River early Sunday, triggering warnings for residents to move to higher ground. Officials said five to seven houses in Jagat were washed away, with more homes potentially affected downstream. A landslide is suspected to have blocked a stream before the sudden surge, but the cause remains unconfirmed. No deaths or injuries had been reported at the time of the update as authorities warned vulnerable riverside settlements.
