The rain continues today, and it's keeping Japan and Tokyo much cooler than it was last year, which I'm very happy for!

But today is an indoor stream
And since summer has began, that means it's the season for festivals in Japan!
But unfortunately the food at festivals is always very expensive, which is just part of the festival experience
But I can make it much cheaper at home, so today I want to try making some festival foods!
So I'm going to try making 2 festival foods which I haven't made before
Yakitori, which is grilled chicken on sticks with some vegetables
This is also a famous food through Japan all seasons, and often served in places like izakaya
The other is something I'm a bit scared to try making, which is candied pineapple

I think it might fail, but I'm still excited to try!
