India-China Faceoff in Arunachal: ITBP Chief Confirms Multiple Standoffs | Vantage
Description: ITBP Director General, Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor has acknowledged that Indian and Chinese troops are locked in a faceoff in Arunachal Pradesh. The ITBP Chief says that multiple face-offs are currently ongoing in India's Easternmost Arunachal Pradesh state. The confirmation comes weeks after Chinese President Xi Jinping was in India for the BRICS Summit. Xi Jinping met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the BRICS summit and both leaders agree to resolve the border crisis. Clashes between India and China took place in 2020, in the Galwan valley in Ladakh, leading to casualties on both sides. Why are tensions between India and China flaring up again? Hem Kaur Saroya tells you more on Vantage on Firstpost.
