Touhou 7 ~ Perfect Cherry Blossom - Phantasm Stage Perfect (MarisaA)
Description: Aaaand Phantasm is done too! Wasn't so bad, really, the threats of this stage are surprisingly different to what Ran has to offer. The main annoyances this time were the last stage sections, Mesh of Light and Darkness and DBDB. First survival and BoLaD are still hard. Got through it in the end though and even skipped 1 miss hell! :D
Some notes:
I only skipped 1 miss hell because I was kinda resetting over everything lol. I felt there was a very real chance of dying on any of the last patterns so I'd rather skip the disappointment if I died particularly early.
I don't remember the spam section being that hard. Guess that's one of those Marisa things but even with a route I still found this section legitimately one of, if not the hardest thing in the stage. It's just so random and fast.
And hooooly shit DBDB would you please calm down! That was really close to killing me like three times. It's not nearly as tough as the SA counterpart but to then say it's free I think is very silly. It was after capping this that I felt like I had a real chance at getting the run.
There was an unintentional use of border i-frames on the 5th non. Honestly, I've always been afraid of this non, it feels oddly intense and given I was already kinda nervous, it was very close to taking me. Very, very lucky that border ended when it did.
The Ran spell is easy. Idk what strats people had for it but I vaguely remember being told not to dodge it at the bottom but that seems to work wonders. The butterflies Ran fires at the bottom are fully static so by bottomhugging you can avoid them entirely so long as you aren't really close to Ran. Gives you one less component to worry about since this spell is otherwise pretty hectic.
BoLaD was very interesting this run. I ended up second guessing whether to stick with the left so it ended up going on for ages. RNG wasn't the worst but in that frame of mind it looked too risky to handle. Luckily the remainder of the bullets lined up pretty nicely so it worked out!
With this done, I now have 2 weeks to complete whatever it is I need to complete before UM comes out. I will be doing my best to get LNB when it comes out! Close description
