‘A STAIN On British Politics!’ | Campaign Against Antisemitism Refers Greens To EHRC
Description: “It’s a stain on British politics.”
Stephen Silverman, Director of Investigations and Enforcement at the Campaign Against Antisemitism, explains why the organisation has referred the Green Party to the Equality and Human Rights Commission over its motion declaring Zionism racism.
Silverman argues that the policy creates a hostile environment for Jewish members and associates, and calls for accountability if unlawful discrimination occurs.
He also sharply criticises Zack Polanski’s handling of the conference vote, questioning why the Green leader neither voted on nor debated the motion.
“It was a remarkable absence of leadership.”
