Distressing eyewitness video captures the exact moment a Russian drone struck the strategic North Bridge in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv on Sunday, October 4, 2026. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the targeted air strike hit the roadway of the critical Dnipro River crossing—marking the second consecutive day the infrastructure came under fire. The attack unfolded as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in the city in a show of support for President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Russian military forces have intensified deliberate air strikes against Kyiv's bridge network in a strategic effort to disrupt logistics routes and sever connections between the capital's eastern and western banks.
