'Halt Attacks': India Pushes Russia-Ukraine Truce After Black Sea Attack on Indian Crew | Vantage
Description: India has proposed a three-part truce between Russia and Ukraine aimed at keeping critical supplies and trade flowing amid the intensifying war. The proposal calls for a halt to attacks on energy facilities and other infrastructure, continued grain and energy shipments through Black Sea ports, and an end to strikes on commercial shipping.
The proposal comes as Russia launches a major overnight aerial assault on Ukraine, killing at least 15 people, including three children, according to Ukrainian authorities. We explain India’s ceasefire proposal, the latest Russian strikes, the Black Sea shipping threat, and what the plan could mean for global food and energy security.
