Slating It - “France Should Be Taking the Boats BACK!"
Description: June Slater is back for another no-holds-barred edition of SLATING IT on UKLIVE, joining Mark Littlewood and Paul Cox to take aim at the biggest political stories of the week.
This time, June turns her attention to the Channel migrant crisis and asks why Britain’s politicians aren't talking more about the maritime rules governing unsafe vessels leaving the French coast.
After digging into the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) convention, June argues that when French authorities encounter overcrowded or unseaworthy boats, they should be returning them to the nearest safe port rather than allowing the journey across the Channel to continue.
She also has plenty to say about Kemi Badenoch and the Conservatives, Reform UK, Nigel Farage, Ed Miliband, energy prices, immigration, Westminster and the state of British politics.
As ever with June, absolutely nobody is safe.
