'Putin's Birthday Gift Is Murder...': 28 Killed As Ukraine Faces Russia's Aerial Fury|Firstpost Live

Description: Russia has launched a major overnight aerial barrage across Ukraine, killing at least 28 people and injuring dozens more, according to Ukrainian officials. The strikes involved missiles, ballistic weapons and Shahed drones, hitting multiple Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the attack as a "birthday gift" for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who turned 74 on Wednesday. Ukraine says it intercepted dozens of missiles and drones but remains particularly vulnerable to Russia's ballistic missile attacks. Kyiv has also responded with long-range strikes inside Russia, targeting oil and energy facilities in several regions in an effort to disrupt the infrastructure supporting Moscow's war effort.
