I realized I never got a chance to talk about this in my last upload.
Although we have already been working on this for over 6 months now, it's been a long time coming for a new pack for this series, especially after it's been having a new huge wave/boom due to the rising popularity of other voice synthesizer programs such as SynthV, NEUTRINO, CEVIO and more. At first I was thinking we continue to stick with Vocaloid only like in the previous packs and then do a separate pack for the other voicebanks, but with how intertwined the two are with the songs (especially with MikuTeto songs), it'd be much easier to just allow them all, and therefore even finally opening it up to things previous banned such as UTAU (that's why Igaku is in this pack now)
That being said, we still try to do more of a focus on Vocaloids, but we also want to give good representation to the other voicebanks as well. But now we expect to FINALLY break the 100 song barrier in this pack (before Touhou Pad Packs themselves lol), so this pack will be HUGE by the end.
I hope the new trend in charting isn't much of a shock to players who's only been following the Vocaloid packs though, aka the new tech meta for ITG charting. I know I've had it before in other packs, and there's been a fair share of "unusual" tech in previous files (ie. Brackets, Footswitches, etc) but now with a higher focus on them, it might seem a bit surprising to see a lot more of them. Keep in mind, we definitely still have a lot of charts that goes back to more "traditional" charting methods which is a lot lighter on the modern tech patterning, so it isn't FULLY embracing tech like the Blue Archive pack. And besides, as always, it will have lowers which will have less or no tech in them to still enjoy!
It's still planned for 2027, so still some time away, as we have a big backlog of songs to still go through, but please be patient since we're not only trying to ensure the quality remains just as high as before, but there's been A LOT more community effort onto this compared to previous packs, so I've had a lot more submissions coming in, which also means more work to review them all. My optimistic hope is to get it out by Miku Day though! (March 9th)
Anyways, that's all there is to it, I apologize for the long wait since the last pack, but I hope it's all worth it in the end!
Cheers!
