So even though this came out a few weeks ago at this point, we feel that we wouldn't be doing our due diligence if we didn't talk about this new Avenged Sevenfold project.
A7X haven't been shy about trying to go in a new avante-garde direction. They released one of the most head scratching records of all time a few years ago with "Life is But A Dream...", a record that we applauded for being different, but thats about all it had going for it.
STATICA seems like Aveneged Sevenfold taking this weirdness a step further, but falling even flatter on their faces. This thing is filled with M. Shadows autotuned vocals, bad sounding synthesizers, terrible lyrics, and barely any guitars. In a world of AI bullshit, this seems like it fits in pretty well, even if they didnt use any AI at all to make it.
THE IQMB RATING SCALE:
1-3/10 = dog shit
4-6/10 = yeah, whatever
7-10/10 = hell yeah
IQMB SCORE - 2/10 - an ai bullshit dogshit
BEST TRACKS: ...
WORST TRACKS: rejoice
