Can Joey Porter Jr. Fix the Cowboys’ NFL-Worst Defense?
Description: The Cowboys made a major move to address their struggling defense, acquiring Joey Porter Jr. from Pittsburgh for a second-round pick and a conditional sixth-rounder.
Brad Evans and Pat Boyle react to the trade and debate how much Porter can actually change things in Dallas. The Cowboys rank dead last in defensive EPA per play and 31st against the pass, but Porter brings legitimate shutdown ability to a secondary desperately searching for answers.
Dallas DC Christian Parker called Porter a “boundary eraser.” With the Texans, Buccaneers, Packers and Eagles coming up, can he help make this Cowboys defense respectable?
