Dropping BIG Baits 1000 Feet Deep...What's Biting?
Description: We ran 125 Miles off the coast of Cape Cod with one mission: Fill the boat with as many Tuna as possible. Most people don't realize that all Tuna species are highly migratory - meaning they travel all around the world, and in the Summer they come within striking distance of Massachusetts waters. Meaning for around 4 months out of the year, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and Bigeye Tuna are all local fish!
We took our 2850 Bluewater Center Console commercial tuna fishing at the Canyons for a 24 hour overnight fishing trip with the goal of making as much money as possible. We then took our catch and sold it to Chef Jeremy Sewall of ROW34 - but we ended up with a surprise catch that none of us were expecting!
This work is funded by the Massachusetts Fisheries Innovation Fund, which is supported by the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries
