"She’s UP THERE With Margaret Thatcher" | Lord Redwood Backs Kemi Over Farage
Description: Lord Redwood joins Jeremy Kyle to discuss Badenoch’s conference speech, the Conservatives’ record in government and whether the Tory–Reform divide could hand Labour another election victory.
The Conservative peer puts Kemi Badenoch “up there with Margaret Thatcher” and argues she is better placed than Nigel Farage to win over voters, saying Farage’s team has “a lot more to prove”.
Redwood praises Badenoch’s policies on taxation and enterprise, arguing that Britain is being “driven into the ground” by high taxes and excessive regulation. He also explains why he did not contest the last election, saying he could not defend the previous Conservative government’s record on immigration and taxation.
