France Protest LIVE: France Bans Use of Stun Grenades to Police after Student's Hand was Blown Off

Description: France’s student protests are intensifying after a 15-year-old boy lost his hand during clashes with riot police in Lens. In response, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez ordered a temporary suspension of stun grenades during high-school protests while authorities investigate the incident. Reuters The move comes amid nationwide demonstrations over poor school infrastructure, teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms and deteriorating learning conditions. More than 500 schools have been affected, while hundreds of students and police officers have reportedly been injured. Reuters The government has also opened investigations into allegations of excessive police force. As protests continue across France, Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has promised proposals addressing students’ demands by the end of October. Firstpost tracks the latest developments, the police response, the political fallout and the growing anger among French students.
