Moana | Written in the Stars [WORLDVISION Editing Contest]
Description: Watch in 1080p!
Hello, world!
So here is my next entry for the next round of WORLDVISION Editing Contest!
The theme for this round was to "show the beauty of our country"! So we had to focus on using landscapes and sceneries on our entries!
For my part, this proved to be pretty difficult because as much as I love to show the beauty of my country, Philippines, there's hardly any Non/Disney movies that feature my country.
So I went with the closest I could find, and decided to use Moana.
Moana's settings are usually by the sea and islands, and considering the Phillipines to be a "country of islands", it was the best I could think of! ^^
Other than islands, I'd like to consider that our ancestors are originally tribes living by the seashore. Also, there are plenty of mountains here that seem to coincide a woman lying asleep—even legends about them exist.
I even added some scenes of the people picking coconuts because coconuts are frequently seen in my country and a lot of us love to eat and drink it.
Well, that's all for my explanation! ^^
As for the video, I didn't think I'd finish this fast. I started this today because I lost inspiration and ideas for the theme so it took me a while to figure out how to do it (esp with the lack of movies to represent my country).
Pardon if it's pretty short, too! I tried my best to finish it on time! xD
I hope y'all liked it ~
I'm not sure if I'd be able to win this round, but I am still hoping I could. hehe!
That's all! Byeeee!
Song: Written in the Stars
Artist: The Girl and the Dreamcatcher
Footage: Moana
Program: Vegas Pro 14, Adobe After Effects CS6
Coloring: Mine.
NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!
Lots of luv,
