Description: Today was supposed to be another outdoor adventure from Tokyo...
But it's going to be cold and rainy throughout the day, and honestly, spending hours walking around outside in this weather doesn't sound very fun!
It looks like some of the rain may be connected to yet another typhoon approaching Japan. We've had SO many typhoons coming towards the Tokyo area this year!
They've definitely helped keep some of the heat away, which I'm happy about, but all this rain has made planning outdoor streams a little difficult.
So instead of getting soaked outside, today we're staying warm and cozy at home for a relaxing cooking stream! 🍂✨
And since the weather finally feels properly autumn-like, we're cooking with some of my favorite cold-weather ingredients...
SWEET POTATO and PUMPKIN! 🍠🎃
First, I'm attempting Mont Blanc... AGAIN!
My recent Mont Blanc attempts haven't exactly gone according to plan, so today we're changing things up.
Instead of the traditional chestnut version, I'm going to try making a SWEET POTATO MONT BLANC! 🍠✨
Sweet potato is one of my absolute favorite vegetables when the weather gets cold, so hopefully this is finally the Mont Blanc that works!
And to go with it, I'm making one of my favorite things to eat when it's cold...
Pumpkin soup! 🎃🥣
Warm, creamy pumpkin soup on a cold and rainy autumn day sounds pretty much perfect right now.
So today's stream will be a little different from our usual outdoor Monday adventure.
Instead, we're staying out of the rain, getting cozy at home, making some of my favorite autumn comfort food and attempting to FINALLY complete a successful Mont Blanc! 🍂🍠
Grab something warm, get comfortable, and come spend a relaxing rainy autumn morning cooking with me!
Hopefully we'll finish with a delicious pumpkin soup, a beautiful sweet potato Mont Blanc and absolutely no reason for me to attempt Mont Blanc for a fourth time...
