After our unexpected adventure getting here from Seoul, it's finally time to properly explore Busan!
Unfortunately, yesterday didn't quite go according to plan...
I was supposed to be streaming, but I got absolutely EATEN ALIVE by mosquitoes! 🦟😭
My face was covered in bites and became so swollen that I wasn't feeling well enough to go outside and stream.
And somehow, the mosquitoes managed to get into my room AGAIN last night!
Thankfully, they left my face alone this time, but I still have plenty of bumps left over from yesterday.
So today's little side mission is to find some medicine to help with all these mosquito bites!
But apart from that, we have a BIG day of exploring Busan ahead of us! 🇰🇷✨
We'll start at North Port Waterfront Park, where we'll walk along the harbor, enjoy the ocean views and see if we can spot any SHARKS! 🦈🌊
I've been looking forward to seeing Busan's waterfront, and this should be a great place to start our adventure.
From there, we'll head towards Busan Station and make our way to Ibagu-gil, one of Busan's fascinating hillside neighborhoods! 🏘️
We'll explore the steep streets, discover the area's history and make our way up to an observation deck for some beautiful views overlooking the city and harbor.
Busan is famous for its mountains meeting the sea, so I'm really excited to see the city from above!
After exploring the hills, we'll head towards Nampo-dong for something I've been looking forward to...
KOREAN STREET FOOD! 🍢🥟🍜
We'll explore BIFF Plaza and Gukje Market (International Market), wandering through the busy shopping streets and checking out all the different foods on offer.
From hotteok and fish cakes to other Busan specialties, we'll see what delicious things we can discover!
And of course, we'll have to stop and try something along the way!
Finally, we'll make our way back towards Gwangalli Beach, where there's a big market and special activities happening for the current Korean holiday! 🎉🌊
We'll explore the festive atmosphere, check out the stalls and enjoy the beautiful seaside scenery around one of Busan's most famous beaches.
If we're lucky, we might discover some interesting holiday traditions or special events along the way!
