Is Shinsekai Yori the Darkest Anime of the Last Decade?

Description: •If you haven't seen this anime yet, go watch it first and then come back!
The 2010's had a lot of very interesting anime, and many of them dealt with complex matters such as identity and Freudian elements, but Shinsekai Yori tackles something much darker and far more sinister.
Does it hold the crown for the darkest anime of the last decade?
