Description: To acquire the indestructible Adamantium claws, Wolverine underwent a near-fatal experiment. Molten Adamantium was injected into his body; following the procedure, his heart stopped, only for him to revive thanks to his extraordinary healing factor. Upon learning that his memory was to be erased, he broke free from his restraints—his bone claws transforming into Adamantium ones—and fought his way out of the laboratory to a nearby farmhouse. Pursuers arrived in quick succession, and the elderly couple was brutally killed; Wolverine fought fiercely, defeating the hulking Fred and learning that William and Sabretooth had joined forces to capture mutants and imprison them on a mysterious island.
