USS LINCOLN CRISIS ‘FAKE’? Hegseth Blasts Iran War Deaths; U.S. Troops ‘Not FLEEING Battlefield’

Description: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has pushed back hard against reports portraying conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and the wider U.S. military as evidence of troops abandoning the Iran war.

Hegseth dismissed what he described as “fake” reporting and argued that the broader personnel picture tells a different story, pointing to stronger military recruitment and retention. His remarks come as the Pentagon faces scrutiny over the extraordinary strain placed on the Lincoln and other U.S. forces during the prolonged conflict with Iran.
