A Dekopon orange is a large, super-sweet, seedless citrus hybrid from Japan, known for its distinctive "top knot" bump on top and easy-to-peel, loose skin, offering intense flavor from high sugar and low acid content, often marketed as Sumo Citrus in the U.S.. It's a cross between Kiyomi and Ponkan varieties, prized for its juicy, segmentable flesh and tropical taste, available in winter and spring.
