Unison (PS2) - Country Grammar
Description: thank you for this wonderful gift tecmo
I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk about this game so I guess some explanation is in order. Unison: Rebels of Rhythm & Dance is a music game released by Tecmo in the PS2's launch year. You can't tell because this is a replay, but gameplay involves memorizing choreography utilizing the joysticks and performing in time to the music. The soundtrack consists entirely of licensed music, and when it was brought from Japan to the West, all J-Pop tracks were replaced with Western music, leading to, uh, this.
I was skeptical when I first picked it up, thinking it would just be a cheap cash-in on the popularity of DDR at the time, but it's actually unique and quite charming. Zany Japanese music game fans should totally give it a try. Close description
