Characters who made legendary Comebacks
Starting off we have Bob The Builder’s legendary return to stop motion via a nostalgic 90-second stop-motion commercial campaign this past September. The last time we saw him in this style was in 2008 when the project build it series ended.
Up next is Misty from Pokémon. After leaving the main cast in 2002 following the conclusion of the Johto arc, she’d make a major return in Advanced Generation Episode 44, “The Princess and the Togepi,” where she reunites with Ash in the Mirage Kingdom.
Next up is Samurai Jack who came back for a dark and mature final season on Adult Swim to finally defeat Aku and complete his journey after a 13-year hiatus from 2004 to 2017 following the initial cancellation.
Moving on we have classic Mega Man, who went dormant in terms of new titles due to oversaturation and father figure Keiji Inafune leaving the company in 2010 and had several of his titles cancelled for nearly the next decade. Though he came back strong with Mega Man 11 in 2018.
And lastly we have Doomguy, who suffered from a 12-year-absence following 2004’s Doom 3 before making one of the best comebacks ever with Doom 2016 with excellent sequels to follow! Close description
