Box Says Add Eggs & Oil. DON'T! Plant Based Box Brownies
Description: You don't need eggs or a bunch of oil to make moist, fudgy brownies from a box.
We started with a regular Betty Crocker Supreme Triple Chunk Brownie Mix and ignored a couple of the instructions on the back. Instead of the egg, we made a simple flax egg. Instead of 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, we used unsweetened applesauce.
The result?
Brownies that were still soft, moist, fudgy and chocolatey—even a couple of days later. We genuinely don't think you'd know they were made without the egg and oil if nobody told you.
