MSI Raider 16 Max HX Review: Can This Laptop Really Replace a Desktop?
Description: Desktop replacement laptops promise the impossible, full desktop level power squeezed into something you can actually carry. Most of them end up being a compromise you regret.
The MSI Raider 16 Max HX is aiming higher, packing a Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and an RTX 5090 into a 16 inch chassis and daring you to compare it directly to an actual desktop.
In this review I put it through real creative workloads, benchmark it in gaming against my own rendering PC, and run it through a full thermal stress test to see if MSI's most powerful 16 inch laptop can actually back up the claim.
