Description: She didn't just play lead guitar in Vixen—she founded the band in a Minnesota high school more than a decade before MTV ever existed.
Meet Jan Kuehnemund: the visionary guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader who broke into the male-dominated 1980s heavy metal scene on her own terms.
From hauling amps through Midwestern winters and appearing in the 1984 cult film "Hardbodies," to crafting some of the most melodic guitar solos in arena rock, fighting for the legal ownership of her band, and quietly planning a classic comeback before her tragic passing, this is the inspiring story of rock's most determined female guitar hero.
