Trump’s fantastical and insincere pledge reveals an increasingly frantic and chaotic midterms strategy. And like his previous promises of free cash—including $2,000 checks from supposed tariff revenue and $5,000 checks from all that money we never saved from DOGE—it is NOT going to happen. Even the faithful at Fox News were skeptical.
The plan could cost at least $1 trillion and arrives just as alarm bells are clanging over a ballooning national debt and ever-rising cost of living.
And let’s be honest, it’s just desperate.
