Why does Mantis always come across as a bit goofy? #usa #film #avengers #marvel

Description: Mantis appears endearingly innocent and naive; upon first meeting Rocket, she mistook him for a pet, and her attempts to look fierce were comical. Yet, she possesses immense power, capable of sensing and manipulating others' emotions through touch—feats that include hypnotizing Drax and the Celestial Ego, as well as briefly subduing a Stone-wielding Thanos in *Avengers: Infinity War*. Her simplicity is genuine; raised by Ego from childhood, she was unfamiliar with the ways of the world and only began to grasp the nature of loss after witnessing Drax’s grief. By *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3*, she has evolved beyond a mere supporting role, actively stepping up to protect her teammates; while she may seem harmless, she wields the power to hold her own against formidable foes. Close description
