Little Dancer | Tiler Peck
Description: Step into the captivating world of LITTLE DANCER at Theatre Royal Haymarket - an unforgettable experience you won't want to miss.
You may not know her name. But you know her.
Marie van Goethem has stood in the same fourth position for over a century: arms behind her back, chin lifted, gaze fixed beyond the frame. She was poor. She was extraordinary. And she refused to be forgotten.
Little Dancer is the story of a girl with impossible dreams and the man who immortalised her, Edgar Degas. Two people bound together by art, ambition and the ache of wanting to matter. Set against the dazzling, dangerous world of Belle Époque Paris, where beauty and brutality existed side by side, it asks the question we all carry:
Do we shape our destiny, or does it shape us?
From the creative minds of Tony and Olivier Award-winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Anastasia, Ragtime, Once on This Island) and directed and choreographed by fivetime Tony and Olivier Award-winner Susan Stroman (The Producers, Crazy for You, Oklahoma!, Smash), comes this sweeping, emotionally charged new musical.
Starring Emmy Award-winner and Olivier Award-nominee Tiler Peck (principal dancer with New York City Ballet and star of Prime Video’s Étoile), alongside Olivier Award-nominees Julian Ovenden (High Society, Downton Abbey, South Pacific), Laura Pitt-Pulford (Into the Woods, Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) and Josefina Gabrielle (High Society, Chicago, Les Misérables), Little Dancer is for anyone who has ever been overlooked and refused to accept it, for anyone who has ever dared to dream bigger than the world told them they could.
Lush. Evocative. Achingly human. Experience Little Dancer live at Theatre Royal Haymarket for six weeks only from February 2027, prior to a world tour.
Produced by Anita Waxman Productions, Tegan Summer Theatricals, Shea Theatricals, Sharon A. Carr & Patricia R. Klausner.
