Nuclear Submarines Protected With FIRE HOSES? | ‘I Couldn’t Quite Believe It!’
Description: “I couldn’t quite believe it to begin with.”
Colonel Simon Diggins reacts to a report that high-pressure water hoses are being positioned on submarine decks at Faslane as a precaution against drones.
The military and defence analyst questions whether the right resources are in place to protect sensitive military assets—and explains why electronic countermeasures cannot necessarily stop every type of drone.
“I would rather like to think that we have something more than the hoses.”
Diggins also examines the reported breach at RAF Molesworth, challenges assurances about military base security and argues that the Ministry of Defence must respond faster to evolving threats.
