Pope Leo says “rebirth” is key to understanding his France trip
Description: Pope Leo XIV reflected on his Apostolic Journey to France during his weekly General Audience, saying the trip was “a gift not only for the people of France, but also for me.”
The Pope pointed to signs of renewal across Paris, Lourdes and Metz, comparing them to the restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral.
“Just as Notre-Dame Cathedral was restored, so too is the Church in France being renewed,” he said, highlighting the enthusiasm of young Catholics and the growing number of baptisms.
He also recalled his pilgrimage to Lourdes, entrusting France and the world to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Close description
