So, you know the saying "art inspires art"? One day, while listening to one of my favourite soundtracks from "How To Train Your Dragon", I was struck by this lightning bolt of realisation that this song combined with the style of instrumentation from the HTTYD soundtrack would sound absolutely wonderful and so, so fitting. And in classic eiry fashion, I am never wrong. Flips purple hair. So my dear, wonderfully talented friend @KΔruOfficial (who is the BEST orchestrator in the whole world, and I WILL throw hands for him on this) and I started conceptualising and working on this in October of 2024. Yes. 2024. This project has lived so many lives that it's like watching a child grow up. And they grow up so quickly don't they?
To my wonderful team who worked with me on this project to help bring my vision to life: orchestrator KΔru, artist Syd Mills (who was one of my dream artists to commission, yay), mixer Mike, chorale Itunu, MV Jestin - THANK YOU! YOU ARE INCREDIBLE! And thank you to myself for not giving up on this even when it seemed so daunting. You are brave and I love you. Look at what we did! β¨
All this to say, this song is so incredibly near and dear to my heart. Truly.
As i'm sure it is for some of you as well watching this!! I hope I did it justice π
Please let me know your favourite part in the comments!! π₯°π
Love this? I have done multiple other "but it's EPIC" songs, all in one place for you! π https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLakxnXLB14uonYv0kRRSsn_ysBzQuv-zo&si=sczJvVt4EThmhz9J
