Zootopia Gazelle Dance | Animation Breakdowns

Description: Explore the 3D animation shot progression of Gazelle and the tigers from the "Burning Mammal" credits sequence in Zootopia!

Animator Michelle Sevilla breaks down her workflow, starting from live-action choreographer footage and pushing the energy to match the technical beats from layout. Watch how she reveals Gazelle, adds physicality on the stairs, and fills in choreography gaps.

You’ll also see a fun behind-the-scenes moment during the first pass drawovers where she pitched a "cape toss" gesture, only to realize later it was actually a scarf!

Shot progression order: Choreo Footage → Layout → First Pass (Drawovers) → Animation/Polish → Final.
