CJP 2.0 PROTEST LIVE | Delhi Police Steps Up Preventive Detentions Ahead of Jantar Mantar March
Description: Delhi Police has detained around 30 to 40 people with criminal records across all 15 districts as part of preventive measures ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s proposed protest at Jantar Mantar. The action comes as the Gen Z-led movement plans to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged voter-list irregularities. Police have intensified security arrangements and are monitoring individuals suspected of mobilising participants to prevent potential law-and-order issues. The Election Commission has denied allegations of voter-list manipulation. Follow Firstpost for the latest developments on the CJP protest, police action and the debate over electoral reforms.
