Exclusive: DeSean Jackson talks about his new documentary on Amazon Prime

Description: Think NFL. That’s the line that DeSean Jackson’s father, Bill, repeatedly told his sons during their youth. Think NFL.

I entered the AMC movie theatre in New York City, where Go Deep: The DeSean Jackson Story — the documentary chronicling Jackson’s journey to becoming a Philadelphia Eagles legend — was playing, thinking NFL. But I left thinking of my dad.

Go Deep is an intimate, raw, touching story that chronicles the Jackson family along DeSean’s rise from prodigious talent to one of the greatest deep threats in NFL history. Directed by Mandon Lovett, it’s an insight into the American Dream and how football and sports provide the hope that anyone from any background can make it. Close description
