This is more of an "Evan, take it away" review, because neither JJ or I have ever before listened to The Mountain Goats.

Even though this is their 25th album, "Days" was not a bad starting point. John Darnielle goes back to the 90's, one of our favorite time periods, to garner inspiration for "Days."

He pays tribute to Layne Staley, Charlie Sheen calling the FBI on a horror movie, and how sick it would be to open for Candlebox.

THE IQMB RATING SCALE:
1-3/10 = dog shit
4-6/10 = yeah, whatever
7-10/10 = hell yeah

IQMB SCORE - 6.8/10 - free credit report dot hell yeah

BEST TRACKS: charlie sheen reaches out to the feds, days, song for layne staley, candlebox, shallow grave
WORST TRACKS: annie haslam imperial phase...i guess?
