Ottawa Senators host FanFest
Description: Ottawa Senators fans gathered at the Canadian Tire Centre for the team's annual FanFest as excitement builds ahead of the upcoming NHL season. CTV's Austin Lee reports that fans got autographs, tested their skills, and heard directly from players following a dramatic offseason that included trading former captain Brady Tkachuk to Florida. Forward Drake Batherson spoke about signing his historic eight-year, $86-million contract extension, while supporters welcomed 23-year-old forward William Eklund to the roster. The Senators kick off the 2026-27 regular season on the road against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 3 before hosting the Philadelphia Flyers for their home opener.
