Newcastle Knights fans explain what ‘better than Lego’ means to them

Description: Newcastle Knights fans are embracing a viral video of former captain Matty Johns declaring the club’s 1997 grand final win was 'better than Lego'.

The footage, filmed as Johns celebrated the Knights’ first premiership at the Newcastle Workers’ Club, has become part of the club’s folklore and remains a popular social media clip.

With Newcastle chasing another NRL premiership against the Sydney Roosters this Sunday, fans are hoping they will have a new reason to repeat Johns’ famous words on Monday morning.
