Carolyn Wonderland - LIVE from the Fallout Shelter
Description: Carolyn Wonderland performs live at The Fallout Shelter in Norwood, MA as part of the Extended Play Sessions on September 26, 2026.
Carolyn Wonderland is a Texas blues legend whose soulful vocals and slinging guitar work draw comparisons to Janis Joplin and Stevie Ray Vaughan, blending original cosmic soul music with heavy doses of Tex-Mex grit and riff-fueled rock and roll. Raised in Houston and seasoned on the Austin blues scene, she made history as the first woman to serve as lead guitarist in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, following an all-star lineage that includes Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. She's shared stages with everyone from Levon Helm to Los Lobos and made her debut on Austin City Limits, carrying her sound across the US, Europe, South America and Japan along the way. This marks Carolyn's first appearance at The Fallout Shelter, one more stop on a career that's taken her everywhere.
The Fallout Shelter is an all ages 100-seat performance venue and state-of-the-art broadcast and recording studio, offering one of the most unique live music experiences in New England. Located in Norwood, MA, just 15 miles from Boston, The Fallout Shelter is run under the auspices of the Grass Roots Cultural and Performing Arts Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting and advocating for traditional American Roots music.
