I Recreated Aladdin's Magic Carpet Scene While SKYDIVING!
Description: Now THIS is what I mean when I say I want to be a Disney princess.
Mike and I did our annual Halloween hot air balloon skydive, and this year we chose Aladdin as our inspiration! We wanted to recreate the iconic magic carpet scene, so Mike got crafty and attached an actual carpet to his wingsuit to fly through the sky. Naturally, I dressed up as Princess Jasmine to go along for the ride.
While sitting on top of the carpet would have looked pretty cool, we weren’t quite sure how that would work logistically, so we decided to bring the scene to life a little differently.
And when it actually worked… let’s just say we were STOKED.
There’s something so fun about recreating iconic scenes like this while doing what we love. Sometimes I genuinely have to pinch myself that I get to fly around in the sky with my partner, making crazy ideas like this a reality.
Although, as you can see, I definitely had the easier job. I got to fly off into the sunset while Mike was left dealing with a carpet attached to his wingsuit. Thankfully, he managed to get it off in time, or that landing might have been a little less graceful.
We’re already brainstorming ideas for next year’s Halloween skydive… what should we recreate next?!
